The Survey of Project Leadership Practices™ (PLP) identifies the competencies important for overall project effectiveness. Feedback is given to Project Managers or Project Leaders. The suggested five feedback perspectives include the Project Leader and his or her manager, team members, project customers, and other stakeholders. A Project Leader may enhance his or her effectiveness by strengthening skills in the sequence established by the Project Leadership Practices Task Cycle®. The Task Cycle Theory is based on a model that has been researched for 30 years.
The Project Leadership Practices (PLP) consists of Phases and Dimensions. Two additional areas measured by the survey are Attributes and Beliefs. The Project Leader's competence in the skills affect coworkers' views of that person's attributes (personal values) and the team's belief in the project.
